Kidney stones:

Now a days, many people are suffering with the Kidney stones (Crystals) irrespective of their age.  Once the kidney stones diagnosed, Proper treatment should be taken. Remember, after curing the problem, should be monitored carefully or else the same will be reversible.

What are Kidney stones?

Kidney stones are accumulation of salt and minerals which may be dissolved minerals such as calcium and uric acid.  Those stones migrate in the urinary tract and leads to the moderate to extreme pain.

Why Kidney stones may occur?

If you are not enough hydrated, the minerals concentration will be increased and stone formation occurs.

If there is not enough water to dilute the uric acid, stones will be formed by increasing the concentration of uric acid.

Some of medical conditions such as urinary tract infection, renal tubular acidosis etc., may cause the kidney stones.

Few studies have been declared by scientists that some of medicines can also cause stones.

Symptoms of Kidney stones:

  • Pain in the back and belly.
  • Pain while urination.
  • Blood may appear in urination with burning sensation.
  • Gets little urination
  • Frequency of urination may increase than regular.
  • Nausea and Vomiting
  • Pus while urination. (Generally it can’t be said by visual observation, may need urine analysis)


  • CT scan
  • X ray
  • Ultrasound


  • Get hydrated

Having more water dilutes the concentration of minerals and may break the stones. In such conditions stones may come easily in urine (you may feel pain). If you want make a juice, go with lemon and orange.

  • Low oxalate Diet:

Higher concentration of oxalate can reduce the mineral absorption.

  • Say “No SALT”

Higher concentration of Sodium may lead to increase the calcium levels. If calcium bind with the oxalate and phosphorous, Calcium oxalate may be resulted in the form of stones. Phosphate bind with the calcium and reduce the solubility of calcium, resulted as an insoluble compound.

  • Avoid Non veg

Higher amount of protein found in Meat, chicken, fish and prawns may develops the uric acid concentration which makes more burden on your kidney and stones may be resulted.

  • Eat Kidney shaped beans

Naturally available kidney shaped beans indirectly indicating that “Eat me for your Kidney Health”

  • Fruits

Have fruits or fruit juices like pomegranate, lemon, apple, and Orange.
